1. Bushwacker’s Archery Range (30 different 3D targets)
Bushwacker’s Archery Range used to be an army alert holding area and is known for its skilled shooters and friendly atmosphere. Beginner classes are offered on Saturdays for a low price of $10 per person. The bales are well-maintained and not overly crowded, with helpful staff available if needed. Shooting distances range from 10 to 60 yards, with over 30 3D targets spread across the property to challenge even experienced shooters. The 3D targets course takes around an hour to complete, The members of the club are warm and welcoming.
Special events and tournaments are also held throughout the year for members to participate in. Overall, this range is a great place for anyone interested in archery to practice and hone their skills. They only ask for a $1 donation to access all the facilities.
2. Waipio Archery Range – (free outdoor range)
The Waipio Archery Range offers a variety of ranges for all levels of archers and is completely free to use. They welcome beginners, but also offer fun challenges for more experienced archers. You can shoot with recurve, compound, and longbow, but not with broadheads or crossbows. The range has targets ranging from a few meters to 100 meters. However, there are no 3D targets available. Bring plenty of sunscreen and wear a cap, as there isn’t much covered shooting area. Overall, the atmosphere at Waipio Archery Range is welcoming and enjoyable. Many locals are here to help beginners and provide constructive advice.
3. Everything Archery (shop + indoor shooting range)
The indoor archery range and shop at this location boasts top-notch equipment and skilled instructors. The staff and regular customers made us feel welcome from the start. In addition to a great practice space, they also have a good selection of gear for sale. The customer service is exceptional, and it is clear that they genuinely care about assisting with archery needs. Brian, in particular, was a fantastic resource. The only downside is limited parking availability. The business also actively promotes the sport for Hawaii’s youth and donates time to related causes. Overall, this is a fantastic option for anyone interested in archery and does not know where to start.
